Courtney Zeff, LCPC - Therapist, Clinical Director

A smiling woman in a light sweater stands in front of blooming white flowers.

My name is Courtney, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. My approach to therapy is relational: in order to begin processing and healing, we first have to feel safe enough to open ourselves up to another person and trust that person can hold whatever we give them. That sometimes requires intentional focus and attention on your body as you begin this experience, in addition to deep diving into underlying wounds, beliefs, and past experiences. I strive to be my authentic self in this process with you, and it won’t be uncommon for our therapy sessions to also include moments of laughter, celebration, sarcasm, and connection over regular life stuff.

As a reference point, here are some approaches that I gravitate towards and that reflect my presence as a person and as a counselor:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Polyvagal Theory
  • Somatic (Body-Based)
  • Relational and Attachment
  • Existential
  • Compassion-Focused

Counseling Practice

  • Grief/loss
  • Anxiety
  • Life transitions
  • Relationship issues
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Identity
  • LGBTQIA+ issues
  • Existential issues (meaning, values, purpose, etc)
  • Self-esteem
  • ADHD

About Courtney

In my free time, you can find me kickboxing, baking, listening to an audiobook, hiking, traveling, propagating my houseplants, and spending time with my family and friends. Or obsessing over my dog; he’s the best.
