"In my experience working in community mental health and crisis work, I have discovered that being very honest and down to earth with clients facing tough challenges gets results. I have experience working with those that are suffering from mood disorders such as depression and anxiety as well as other mental health issues. I enjoy working with people and helping them see new perspectives and provide hope that things can get better. If you are facing difficult life situations, I can provide support with confidential, objective views and provide tools to help using a mix of different techniques such as Adlerian, Cognitive Behavioral Approaches as well as mindfulness and meditation practices. I also work with sexual minority populations in which I have facilitated support groups. I'm also really enjoying working with couples to help with relationship difficulties. "
I grew up in a small town in Wyoming that taught me unique values and how to treat people with dignity and respect. I have lived in Boise for the last 20 years where I raised my children. I attended Boise State University in secondary education and received my Masters Degree in counseling at Walden University.
